Well from what i'm getting @ correct me if i'm wrong. This took place aginst Pound? Was the game at PV or Pound? I believe someone said that the kid should have been suspended for the rest of the season. I can agree with that. I would add as well that if the kid isn't a senior he shouldn't be allowed to play sport for the rest of High School. One more thing I believe the kid should go to one of Pounds home games stand in front of there fan and players and apologize. He needs to do the same at a PV home game. I understand kids will be kids but this is taking it way to far.

Dude, for the most part me and you get along fairly well on here..and you know from my posts what I mean. I understand that you are trying to antagonize me a bit..and that's OK. But, my point is that those who have served in the Armed Forces have made a sacrifice to some degree in order to ensure the rights we all share. Furthermore, those who have served are less inclined to abuse the rights we enjoy in this country simply because they have a right to do so. Most folks gladly accept financial help from the government in many facets of their lives and all they have done to deserve any of it is to be born in this country. It's my opinion that ALL Americans should be required to do their part to ensure the rights of future generations. Just graduating school, gaining an education on the government's dime, living off substudies provided by the government in the form of food stamps, utility, and rent assistance (not that there is anything wrong with any of these programs...but many folks tend to "live" off of them) and then turning right around and desecrating that same institution and it's symbols isn't my idea of ensuring anything for future generations....yet, that's what it boils down to for many of our citizens now days. And, when they are called on any of it, the first thing they want to do is claim a "right" to do it. While that may be true, most times they don't realize that their rights end where another's rights begin. And, IMO it is the responsibility of an adult to realize and abide by that rule.

You know, several of you on this board really puzzle me. Especially you r-13. Burton2019 is only an antagonist and I treat him as such because there is so little that he says that really interests me. I dare say that none of you would have the balls to "desecrate" the symbol of my country in front of me the way you all like to talk crap on this board. Things are always different when they are done in front of or in person. I wonder, would you be so stupid as to do this in front of me? I think not. Don't take this wrong, I am not "calling" you out. I am just letting you know that neither of you are brave enough to do that kind of thing with me.

Just curious and going to play a little devil's advocate here (hypothetical - dont need a response, dont have time to follow this thread), but, how many of the folks on here defending the individual that urinated purposefully in public during the National Anthem also railed against presidential candidate Obama when he didn't salute during a playing of the National Anthem...?

All I know is this: if the ***** was one of my athletes (in any sport) and pulled a stunt like that, he would never set foot on my field nor in my gym again. I dont care if he is a coach's son. just shows what a class(less) act phil is.

Why does Phil's name always get dragged into these topics of Powell Valley sports? If any of you would take your time to actually talk to the man, you would find out that he is a pretty darn good person. With that being said, everyone has their flaws. Don't diss the man just because you don't like his coaching style. This thread is not about him, it is about the stupid act of a young man who probably just got caught up in the moment.
